Inferior colours (I thought you were Canadian, Ray!) really only matters if you're a designer or someone who has to have Pantone perfection. I rarely use my CRT's screen anymore, since a lot of newer games seem designed, or at least factor in that people are playing off LCDs. However, if you're doing a lot of Photoshop work or are watching movies on your computer (are you some kind of animal?), then yeah, stick with the CRT or at least keep the old one around.
