She got better! When her stuff was first posted here I assumed she was like all movie reviewers: old, old, riddled with cancer and old. But it was later revealed that she was closer to our age than Ebert's age / the Universe's age, which meant a steady progression in her work was possible and probable.

However, that's the frustrating thing around here. Nobody ever improves. They either never visit in the first place, run away or stay the same. What a relief to finally see some character development, albeit from someone who, strictly speaking, has never visited here. She stopped dragging Iraq into every review and began to revel in the fact that most movies are her (and by extension, our) enemy. I'd have to see what she thinks about Brick and Sunshine, but I think she's my favorite movie critic!

Girls that look like boys for the most part, yes. If you begin to feel weird about our relationship, you can just say the first word in that sentence and then hum the Mexican national anthem in the key of nukes dropping, or whatever it is that makes your existence momentarily tolerable. (For me, for the near future, it's gonna be "Argh, movies!") Psycho-analyze me all you want, bee-em, but an army of lurkers, Mysterios and ators are ready to chin-strokingly posit that she is absolutely, indelibly adorable!
