Either G3 difficulty has gone down, or I have gotten a better. I actually made it to G3-B from E in one (long) sitting last night. I'm maining Akuma right now (boo, scrub) because he's a shoto that I don't need to double qcf with - I'm still having trouble performing that on the stick. I'm also using him for didactic purposes since any defensive lapse will probably lose me the match, and the constant zoning fireballs you have to fire are getting me used to the stick.
Horrible players and horrible people gravitate to Akuma, but the few good ones I've fought were a lot of fun. The universally agreed upon way to open an Akuma vs. Akuma match is with both parties jumping backwards while letting go a fierce air hadoken. Then, according to Creexul, both parties win.

I don't think anyone hates on Akuma in IV anymore. Sagat is the cheapest now. NT by Fussbett 05/17/2009, 2:12pm PDT
I'm just reporting what I observed. Low skills players were Kens and Akumas NT by Entropy Stew 05/17/2009, 2:53pm PDT

They're either square or octagon as far as I know. NT by Worm 05/14/2009, 3:39pm PDT
The round one doesn't fit the JLF, so I'll probably pick up an octo NT by Entropy Stew 05/14/2009, 7:57pm PDT
