I don't think Origins is gay; perhaps a bit homoerotic but not gay (yes there is a difference). A gay film would be Brokeback, Torch Song Trilogy, or the Birdcage. There the sexuality of the characters is part of the greater storyline. A homoerotic film, in my opinion, is where the movie attracts a certain fanbase that was not the original target audience (i.e. 300 or Top Gun). 300, if I remember, had some homophobic dialogue at one point.

I think he's referring to when King Leo calls the Athenians "boy lovers" because they love to fuck young boys, which as I understand it is pretty much homosexuality in a nutshell.

There's no such thing as a fully hetero or homosexual person, and Wolverine did touch on that (most straight men label their homoerotic feelings as "BAMF" or "a man crush").

Still, no movie has been gayer than 300

"SNIKT" I could see because it's evocative of an erection, but what the fuck does "BAMF" mean? That guy was so hot, he made my Nightcrawler teleport? That's going to require some explanation even in gay comic book circles.

I saw Kevin Smith speak once when I was in college and he talked about how if you replace the word "mutant" with "gay" in X-Men 1 and 2 (the ones Singer directed), they totally work.

He was completely right.

"I have to wear sunglasses all the time, lest my gay eye beams destroy you and everyone I care about!" Yeah, I guess that still works.
