This experiment may require one pipebomb depending on how many zombies are in your vincinity (the bomb that distracts zombies). Go to the door on your right. Move through the hall, shooting any zombies in your way. Go left, shoot out the window, run past the zombies into the subway entrance. Then shoot the car, throw a pipebomb if you have to, and run like hell into the shelter. At the very least, you will create a blockade of zombies that the others will have to shoot through, which will be mildly annoying.
