Re: Oh man.

Changes I would make to WoW: 1. Once I get a character to 70, fuckan let me reclass or get another 70 automatically or some shit because seriously levelling sucks. It's interesting the first couple times and a useful way to learn how to play your class, but it shouldn't be mandatory. Guild Wars and Tabula Rasa both solve this problem in different ways, but WoW is easy to play and has less spazzy Korean pvp that I can't win. 2. I'm cool with not seeing every speck of end game content. I do not ever want to participate in a 25-man raid. I do not need uber gear. However I would like more pretty zones to play in. Why are all the end-end-end game zones full of stink and zombies and raep machines? Zangarmarsh is great. I love Nagrand and Terokkar Forest. More like that please and less on attunement to Sockshittard Caverns. 3. EITHER boats n zeps OR bats n gryphons BUT NOT BOTH. I seriously spend more time commuting in WoW than I do IRL. 3a. At least make it possible for me to do fuckan tradeskills on gryphons. It's ridiculous that I can't knit bandages or twiddle flasks in flight. 4. Make goblins a playable race.
There are HUNDREDS of things that could be different in WOW that would make it more fun. THOUSANDS. I get depressed thinking about it. Can I take a boat out to fish? No. Can I steal a horse? No. Are there interesting hidden things to find on my own? No. I can farm for shit, grind for xp, hunt for gear. That's it, the end. :(
Sure there are lots of Things You Could Do, but with some of these suggestions you're talking about a game that isn't World of Warcraft, and I can point you - without any kind of mockery intended - towards the Morrowind/Oblivion mod scene, where shit like this gets done all the time and it's pretty cool. But I don't have any problems with the basic limitations of the WoW universe. It is a spreadsheet with photo opportunities. I am cool with that in a MMORPG sense, which is one of the reasons that I like the game but could never be assed with any content that I need to know other humans in order to see. When I want a deeply interactive world, a world so interactive that I can totally customize the level of interactivity, I can and happily will go play Morrowind AGAIN. With World Of Warcraft I just want to improve on some of the more annoying game mechanics, like commute times. My two favorite things to do in WoW are: 1. Gaming the auction house. 2. Soothing, unchallenging grindan in picturesque terrain. {- interactive screensaver The distant third is being nightmarishly dominant in pvp, a feat I can't really accomplish anywhere else because hahaha hunters are so OP holy shit major imba. You have to have skill and finesse and finely tuned reflexes to be a successful FPS player, which I DON'T HAVE. In WoW the barriers of entry to pvp success are so low that even a girl can be Lord Spanker. A girl... with a cute widdle piggy!!!!!!!!! Zangarmarsh and Nagrand are seriously like birthday presents for my playstyle. Motes! Clefthoof leather! Giant glowing mushrooms! Pastorale sauvage! THANKS BLIZZ!
