What were they doing all that time? Does the game ever open up and become less linear in terms of choices and paths (not counting simply being able to choose what order you do quests)? I just started dicking around in the Downtown and it seems like it's shaping up where you get to make a choice if you're going to side with the Anarchs, Camerella, or your own clan. Also, how much of a difference does what clan you belong to make? At first it just seemed like it only affected your starting stats, but I'm Tremer and I just got into the Downtown Tremer chantry so I guess it affects <i>something</i>. P.S. Tied with Republic for worst opening "answer questions to determine your class/faction" segment ever. The answers to every question basically boil down to "do you solve your problem by fighting or sneaking?". Then instead of the obvious Gangrel or Nosferatu result, I always get something like Toreador or Tremere no matter what. I eventually said fuck it and went with the clan that lets you make your enemies puke up blood and commit suicide, the Tremer.[/quote]
