I laughed right along with everyone else watching the Kids in the Hall...'s(?) depiction of cops because, hey, "pigs" are funny, but I had no idea that's how things actually were up north. They are like the ref in a hockey fight: slow to react and mostly uninterested unless they get struck personally. (Not that I am downing Canada. Fort Collins, Colorado has turned into a police state with cameras on every corner and a breathalyzer in every pot. Order has a price, and that price is getting surprised with a taser in the back.)
