This was not a big deal, at all. The guy who made them knew it would be a problem and worked out a solution in the car on the way to his office, then tried it out and told Houston. * It wasn't a shocking crazy idea to pull power from the LEM battery. They had actually done this when the initial crisis happened and they were getting the guys out of Odyssey. Also I don't think Ken had anything to do with figuring any of this out. * Ed Harris yelling about the re-entry procedure. The capcom guy did say at one point that he'd get back to the crew with the procedure, but as soon as the words were out of his mouth the guys were coming in with the copies of the fucking procedure. And all the weird dialogue about how if Swigert fucks this up we don't have a mission or skepticism about the chances of the crew coming back. Like these guys would ever say that.
