Garfield strikes me as Standard Extruded Entertainment Product, but highly consistent over the years. You're not going to hate any Garfield strip. Also, maybe I'm imagining this, but I feel like Garfield is kind of dark? Like Jon's life is REALLY shit, much more so than Snoopy, Calvin and Hobbes, or Dilbert. And maybe sometimes the joke is how unfunny the strip actually is? Like a "why did the chicken cross the road" kind of deal. Or maybe I'm imagining all this. Fuckin Garfield, man.[/quote]
