This thread does bring up a critical reason for why people hate indie games

Games built around narration are like TV characters the viewer experiences through VO and theater productions full of melodramatic music to cue reactions. Many if not most ring hollow, though once in a while you get The Shawshank Redemption. This is all Robert McKee and some film bloggers so there's my appeal to authority.[/quote]
