The words "Jesus" and "Christ" are not synonymous, but are used so interchangeably by many that it's easy to forget: one is a guys name (we have a guy here at work with that name, and it wasn't uncommon before Jesus became famous) and the other is an explicitly religious title*. That's why the book I quoted at tdarcos has the title that it does. Anyway, the scholarship in this area is interesting and generally pretty good. And by good I mean "properly skeptical". *Although, now that I think about it, we have a person here with the last name of Christ, too. She pronounces it "krist" though. :( :( :([/quote]
