The title of this was basically hyperbole, the electric chair has been retired for years, every state now uses lethal injection exclusively, but Virginia and Florida give the condemned the option of electrocution. (Nebraska's Supreme Court found its use of the electric chair violated the provisions on cruel and unusual punishment a couple of years ago.) I don't know if the furor over the potential errors in his case make much difference, whether or not he's innocent, he's going to die tonight. There's a lot of demand for the convicted to be executed, regardless of validity. It reminds me of Nancy Grace, her opinion is if you're arrested or tried you're guilty and if you don't get convicted it's a travesty of injustice. Oh, and as far as she's concerned, innocence is no excuse. I don't know if it matters much; everyone who is born is going to die; his difference is he knows the day, hour and minute. [/quote]
