Yes, the iPhone has a button you can press to make it go completely silent. You'd think just remembering to toggle it before and after work would be nice. But I can't remember to do that. I can't be alone, and I just don't understand how Apple employees live with their phones this way. I guess it's not considered embarrassing if your phone makes a sound at a meeting. "Welp, Steve wanted it this way!" So fucking stupid. - You couldn't skin it, put your own wallpaper up nor change the ring and text tones without either FTPing into the phone, or jailbreaking it. I don't have time for this nonsense. - AT&T's service in Colorado is a whole other thing. It made the device not a phone. - The iPhone having just a single physical button is stupid hipster nonsense. - The iPhone does a thing where hitting its single button loads the search page. There is no way to turn this off. Countless times I hit the thing's lone button to close an app, nothing happens, I hit it again, and then both button presses register, bringing me not to the main menu but the search page. When this happens multiple times a day it becomes maddening. My questions for anyone with a droid: - Is there a program for profiles? I need to be able to tell my phone "shut up between 9 and 7." - How much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to get a new ring tone on it? - Is there even a concept of "hacking" it? Is it pretty easy to transfer files over to it? Death to AT&T, I will never give them money again, I guess I will go with Verizon this time, but any carrier is OK. ICJ [/quote]
