Crazier shit happens the higher it goes (the demon faction's whole goal is to get it to max, at a certain point they can cast a spell that brings one of the three best cities in the world with their religion over to their control). 2 separate councils for good/neutral or neutral/evil players that pass resolutions. Fund dissent in the opposing council's cities. Form a pact that you can only trade tech with fellow members. Iron and copper now confer bonuses to all military units instead of being prerequisites. They're still important, but no more getting totally hosed without them pitting your archers and warriors against axemen and swordsmen. I got bored with Civ 4 a while ago, but I'm having a blast with this (5 hours gone!). Their 2 main goals were replayability with completely different mechanics for factions, and end game events (armageddon, god summoning) to break the late game deadlock grind. Highly recommended. I'd totally be up for a multiplayer game.[/quote]
