X-Men Origins: Wolgayverine
Exxxecutive summary: is gay. Kind of wondering how long before it gets its own rap. Starring Hugh Jackman as a lumberjack with a dead girlfriend hmmmm. Well I hope you like posing, plot holes, and b-movie tropes, because XM:W is like a frankenstein's monster of these components. One.... million Leiv Schreibner Evil Pose With Grimace moments + a hundred billion Hugh Jackman My Wings Are Invisible But This Is Me Flying Just Imagine It poses. Movie evades brother rule through sheer bloody-mindedness, but you can see where it was hankered for. Many mutants parade before the screen for your amusement, the king of all of them being The Bedazzler. Also, a dude gets his skeleton electroplated with hand soap. There are at least 4 "you are in the way of the plot so time to die" murders. I went with serious x-men fans who were dismayed as fuck by the portrayal of Gambit (who?) I will say that the dude who played Gambit gave me horrible forking hallucinations of Brandon Lee and Jeff Buckley. Verdict: steal it, watch with liquor. I went on a bottle of soju and four vodka shots, it wasn't enough to get me through the excreable previews much less the pure poo poo of the opening scenes. I do kinda wanna see District 9 now though.
