I'm thinking of a review by the movie critic Jonathan Rosenbaum back in the 80s in which he talked about his dream project of a collaboration between Jerry Lewis and J.D. Salinger, and how the result so horrifies the population of Manhattan that they migrate to an armed compound in the Hamptons.
