Other than looking awesome, the biggest change from the previous games in the series (to me) is that the input window for the special moves is way more lenient, which makes everything new again. I'm shinryukening the fuck out of motherfuckers with an efficiency the earlier games simply didn't allow - I am now the badass I should've been 15 years ago! I can't tell you how many matches I've won that I probably shouldn't have, but if you believe in Xbox Live's gamer feedback system then it's a clear majority. All without the benefit of a joystick ^_^
Also there's a whole new set of nuances for higher end strategy, like the focus moves and cancels, and of course the awesome online feature. If you like Street Fighter you should buy this game without hesitation. |
