This is a deep, somber, important movie about never losing sight of what your spirit really needs to do while it is here on this planet. Many will watch this and see a sad film about a marriage falling apart (and it is that), but I felt there was a deeper meaning to it. To me, this film takes a stand against what society tells us is good for us and encourages us to follow our own bliss...and if we don't, this movie shows the consequences of ignoring that call to adventure. Ok, a little heavy on the Campbell, but it's a good fit for this movie. See it if you were moved by American Beauty. Same director, similar theme, similar impact.
