is that before Dungy challenged the play, the refs were going to pick up the flag they originally threw for the play. If the receiver is in a position that a tough hit might not even cause a penalty, giving that hit a $75,000 fine seems a bit steep. Plus the guy was a tight end: they're supposed to take hits like that, right?
And honestly, Dungy taught Lynch to hit like that anyway, so shouldn't the situation just cancel itself out? |
