The inventory system is one thing thing I'm worried about by Lizard_King 02/08/2009, 5:40am PST
but really only for single player. People keep talking about a boss fight that requires one of you to flank while the other distracts, which also requires the flanker to use a particular grenade that you pick up while running around. Apparently between the AI following at your heels and the AI collecting the grenade before you have a chance to pick it up, it is very frustrating.

I'm hoping, though, these were the kind of people who always dumped the extra giant in the lava, because fighting two at the same time with RE4's controls would be "madness" (quote from imaginary second rate RE4 player). Then again, there's all of the bitching about RE4's shitty experiment/timed door opening puzzle boss and the alien knockoff you have to freeze, which I also hated. I guess RE5 might also include a boss or two that sucks.

Me, I'm just always going to miss the quiet in the middle of the mess that paused inventory has traditionally meant for RE. It's good to see that inventory system has potential for coop. Are you guys doing splitscreen or different xboxes?

Also, no one has said anything about how good the weapon upgrade system is. Apparently the merchant isn't back, which is a shame, but it just triggers in between levels.
