The Mekboy has to be stationary, but he can rotate without having to set up again, still mega lame though, especially because the AI will turn the minimum amount to shoot a guy most of the time so he is just spinning on the spot.
I'm pretty sure Rippers are the fastest cappers Tyranids have got, out of a whole army of fast cappers, they need to stop that shit. I've had reasonable success countering ripper swarm faggotry with shotgun scout faggotry, but it is a huge difference in resources being spent.
You're right about the Dreadnought assault cannon and on top of making it worthless at anti-tank it gets rid of his aura that makes your guys better! You only really want to get it on a second Dreadnought if a lot of infantry is giving you trouble and you don't want your other guy to wade in there all alone (hi tyranids). Just don't use his barrage ability because it will kill all your guys in the fight as well as the enemy!
Scratch that, don't even use his barrage ability at all your assault cannon dread' is going to die, good job buddy. |
