2008 in music (music thread version)by Fussbett 12/30/2008, 2:29pm PST
I decided to start a new 2008 music thread because this new thread will be all about positivity. I'd also like some feedback on your favourite hip hop of 2008 which I've not followed at all and fear that I'm missing out on the 2008 "Throw Some D's" or "Stuntin' Like My Daddy". Those should serve as examples of my taste -- party bangers. Another example is that in 2008 I heard the A-Trak remix of "Wamp Wamp" by Clipse, but not knowing it was a remix I became a huge fan. Imagine the disappointment when I heard the slow and boring original. Also imagine my disappointment and heard the new "challenging" and genre expanding tracks on that Lil Wayne album.
Enough of that, onto the 2008 slim pickings. 2008 was a year without Oink and also without Waffles.fm and What.cd for me because our "readership" is apparently very selfish. As such, I downloaded much less new music than before and you know who loses out there. The bands, you, me... Pretty much everyone loses.
