The game doesn't progress until you do the same quest 20 times by Worm 12/28/2008, 6:10pm PST It felt exactly like Daggerfall to me because of that. I'm not trying to argue that it's a positive thing, if you can still start up Daggerfall and enjoy it then you're probably going to love Farcry 2. The collects (which reek of Assassin's Creed) are secondary to the core of the game, which are Daggerfall style dungeon crawls with a randomly place asset. They end up taking nearly as long because the drive is almost always a massive pain in the ass. I still think it's probably the most similar game, similar in a way that transcends their genres.

So is this worth picking up at Steam's special holiday pricing?
