| 1. Ryan Reynolds, star of cancelled sitcom Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, plays a vampire hunter. I could accept a black sitcom star (Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Jimmie Walker) because there are fewer opportunities all around for Afro-Americans to break into the entertainment business. Also because I didn't hate their shows or at least didn't watch them because they were on black networks like the WB or had too many black people in them. That excuse doesn't fly if you're Tim Allen, Ted Danson, or Ryan fucking Reynolds.
2. A white guy(!) named "Triple-H" plays a ---------->vampire. Again, the double-standard comes into play: it's okay for black people to have stupid names like "Ice Cube" or "Barack Obama" because they come from a different culture. For a white guy to end up with a name like "Triple-H" he has to be trying really hard and a douche. 3. Jessica Biel, I don't have a problem with. |
