Interesting Mods: (Caution: Some of these may conflict with each other.)



Interface

Remove Compass Points-of-Interest Markers

- Removes POI and quest markers from your compass. Useful if you want to explore on your own.

Remove Waypoints

- Removes the dotted waypoint lines from your map. You will have to consult the map to figure out where you're going.

DarNified UI F3 (updated frequently)

- WIP that improves some UI elements. DarN made one of the best UI mods for Oblivion, so keep your eye out for updates.

Item Descriptions

- Adds item descriptions.

Smaller Crosshair

- Turns the crosshair into a small dot.



Sound

Remove UI Sounds

- For those who've tired of the endless CHA-CHING! noise.

Fallout 1 & 2 Music

- Adds the ambient music from Fallout 1 & 2 to the game.

No Karma Noise

- Removes the sound of karmic changes.

No Radio Static

- For your inner audiophile who doesn't give a drat about immersion, this removes radio static.

Quieter Dogmeat

- No more phone-breather crap from that mutt.

iPip Player

- Adds a custom radio station for you to fill with 20 tracks.



Graphics

Centered Third-person Camera

- Properly centered chase cam instead of the off-center original.

Eyes Add-on

- Retextures the eyes and adds a load of new ones.

Subtle Sunglare FX

- Adds a subtle beaming effect to the sunshine and tweaks the sun's outline.

Better Pre-War Money Texture

- Self-explanatory.

Darker Nights

- Self-explanatory.

Enhanced Night Sky

- My God... it's full of stars!

Magic Pip-Light

- Increases the Pipboy light radius and/or brightness by a various different magnitudes of your choosing.

Retro Radscorpions

- Makes the radscorpions look like they did in the previous games.

Hi-Res Weapons

- Makes the world models use the same high-quality skins as the first-person models.

Hi-Res Moon

- Self-explanatory.

Moon Size Tweak

- Lets you choose between different sizes for the moon.

Better Nuka-Cola Bottles

- Self-explanatory.

Better Pristine Nuka-Cola Vending Machine

- Makes the one in your home actually look "pristine," as advertised.

Better Nuka-Cola Vending Machine

- A beaten-up one for the rest of the game to match the above.

Clear Skies

- Cleans that musty brown tint off the screen to give you blue skies, slightly darker nights and more vivid sunrises and sunsets.

Wasteland Weather Overhaul

- Another weather mod, rival to the one above. The fight is on!



Clothing, Weapons and Other Items:

Molotov Cocktail

- Brings back this old Fallout standby using a mesh that was already in the game.

Unique Schematics

- Adds unique versions of the craftable weapons.

Workbench and Crafting Expansion

- Allows you to make a slew of new craftable weapons, including a Gatling Shotgun, Mega Power Fist, Incendiary Grenade and more.



Gameplay

Carry Weight Mod (six posts down)

- Modifies the carry weight stat to be more strength-based.

No Repair Needed

- Weapons and armour don't degrade.

Slower Item Degredation

- Slows down degredation of armour and weapons rather than remove it completely.

Radiation Re-Redux

- Makes change to the way radiation is displayed. Removes number system and ability to see radiation effects, like in the old Fallouts.

XP Reward Hotfix

- Reduces the amount of XP given on kills to slow down levelling.

No GOD Mode VATS

- Increases the damage you receive in VATS.

Stranger

- WIP by our own Mumblyfish. Changes skills, combat and more.

Better Pacing

- Reduces XP gains for combat, lockpicking and hacking, raises radiation accumulation by 500%, and raises player movement speed by 10%.

Amplified Crippled Effects

- As the name says.

Misc Item Weight Fix

- Increases weight for many 0 weight items, decreases it for some. A spoon no longer weighs 1 lbs.

Level Cap Increaser

- Allows you to level beyond 20.

Falling Damage

- Makes the falling damage a bit more realistic.

Weapons Renamed

- Renames weapons so they are now in line with their FO1/2 counterparts (where applicable)..

Level Cap Increaser Skill Workaround

- Lets you increase skills beyond 100, avoiding the game lockout on maxed skills.

VATS MCE

- Makes skill rather than distance to target a bigger factor in accuracy, and removes ridiculous VATS weapon degredation.

Tesla Power Pack

- Properly names the Power Pack available for the Tesla Armour, previously it had the same name as the armour itself.

Cross-repair Weapons

- Allows you to fix weapons of similar type with each other, rather than relying on identical ones.

Gore Tweaks

- Allows you to increase, decrease or completely remove dismemberment and exploding limbs.

Reduced Karma Loss For Stealing

- Self-explanatory.

Longer Death Camera

- Increases the death cam from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, so the game doesn't force you to reload immediately.

Left Side Over-The-Shoulder Cam

- Moves the OTS cam from the right shoulder to the left.ยจ

Armour Cross-repair

- Allows you to repair armours with similar ones.

Killable Children

- Now stop loving whining.

Race Unlocker

- Allows you to play as an old man/woman, child or ghoul.

No Tracers

- Removes tracers from most weapons.

No Fast Travel

- Removes the option to fast travel to locations, forcing you instead to trudge all the way on foot.

Weighted Drugs

- Adds a bit of weight to the drugs in the game.

Chem Rebalance

- Makes it easier to get addicted to chems, among other things.

Hundred Fists

- Lowers the AP cost for bare-handed unarmed attacks.

Welcome to the Wasteland

- Makes the game focus more on the survival aspect of the wasteland. Click link for full description.

Resistant Armour

- Adds fire and energy resistance to armours.

Free Play After Main Quest (SPOILERS)

- Allows you to play on after completing the main quest in a specific way.

Follower Karma and Limit Restriction Remover

- Lets you acquire any follower regardless of karmic alignment and number of existing followers.

Pyromaniac Fix

- Fixes the Pyromaniac perk so it works with unique Flamer and Chinese Pistol.

Harold Fire Fix

- Fixes the  killing of Harold with fire-based weaponry quest path  to work with unique weapon versions.

RobCo Certified

- Adds a perk that allows you to repair motherfucking robots and make them fight for you!

No Auto-Aim

- Removes the silly coded-for-console auto-aim.

Disguises

- Makes certain armours work like the ghoul mask, making you neutral to the faction you picked up the armour from.

Third-person Camera Smoother

- Self-explanatory.

No Lock Topic

- Makes NPCs quit nagging you about even eyeing a locked door or container.

Tenpenny Suite

- Allows you to own both the Megaton house and Tenpenny suite at the same time.

Deathclaw Amputation

- Actually removes the limb from the body when you loot a hand for your Deathclaw Gauntlet.

Sleep Effects

- Allows you to adjust the effects of sleeping to your liking.

Owned!

- If you kill a named NPC you will gain ownership of his house.
