Your post of rivers and Cuban cigars and free money just for being sad reminds me of a friend who watched Bully for the first time.
He was all "These kids have drugs, hot weather, surfing, girlfriends, video games, cars... why are they so angry and depressed? They have the ultimate lives." I thought of that because you described what sounds like a lovely evening outdoors except for the Xanax overdose. Try just unwinding after a hard day of being nervous by going down to the river with your Cubans and perhaps a good book. Or save up some government money and buy a PSP.
