Left4Dead review alpha version by Weyoun Voidbringer 11/25/2008, 3:05pm PST the left4dead intro vs the wow intro videos left4dead shows you an excellently directed introductory movie, which serves multiple purposes, starting with the fact that it is just plain awesome. it is exciting from a game intro and movie standpoint, has really amazing acting and facial animation, excellent IN GAME graphics, tons of awesome action sequences, and is about 4 minutes long. additionally, it also serves the purpose of showing players a lot of important gameplay elements, like how the characters always stay near each other, and strategies for dealing with boss infected and swarms (doesn't show the boomer though). on top of all that the video ends with the 4 characters together arriving at the location where the no mercy campaign begins, giving us some insight into the game's LOOOOOOOORE of how the player characters got to this location to start with world of shitfuck's watlick expansion intro video is literally nothing in comparison. there's some retarded voice over, the whole visual is a pre-rendered cinematic which you will never see again, things happen in the video which make no difference to the gameplay, only lasts 2 minutes (feels like it's longer because it's just straight up boring), and the direction of the visuals in general is pretty weak. worst is that it can be summed up in one short sentence: he stabs the ice with his FROSTMOURN RUNESWORD, there's a skelly dragon and some more skellies (^_^) the end. oh and the gameplay sucks
