Finally got done with all that Christmas SHIT (!), and am now ready to play with some of my loot... except upon getting up this morning, one of the 4800 fans my CyberSupuhGuvnorPower PC came with is buzzing like a motherfucker. I was hoping it was one of the superfluous case fans, then I'd just clip the lead and forget it, but no, it's the one inside the PSU.
It sounds like a little man cutting down tiny forests with a cute little chainsaw in there. When I tap the PSU he gets confused or dizzy and stops for a minute (having a tiny sourdough bread break, I guess), but then it revs back up and we're sawing logs again. NOT IMMERSIVE.
Surely I'm not the only one that's encountered this. Can I just open the PSU up and clean it out, or do I need to install a new PSU fan? Or (gulp), a new PSU? |
