Most of the time neither side even makes it to the finish. The point of versus mode is to fucking run like hell in a marathon race to the safehouse as fast as you fucking can. Then you go in as zombies and kill them before they get that far.
Also, the "distance reached" is averaged out, so you can have one guy just run ahead as far as he can and have the other, weaker members come along at their own leisurely pace and pick up the slack, boosting your score to something better. The lone runner method versus the "stay huddled together until a tank comes and sodomizes us" method works every single time. |
