What defines expensive in the optical range now? by Worm 11/09/2008, 12:02pm PST
I got my original 100 dollar Intellimouse explorer for Christmas of whatever(I'd look this up but the wikipedia article on intellimouse sucks, groan on over to their razer article), after it just plan broke I think my subsequent Intellimouse was 60 bucks, which I used up until a recent hulksmash when my windows install shit the bed. Then I got a wireless one for 60 bucks, which I figure is not-expensive since there is probably a 100% no wires tax on it. I've only had the problem banadine is talking about on a few select cheapo mice. I think pretty much anything above the 20 to 30 dollar range shouldn't have those kind of issues, and probably will even boost at least 1600 dpi.

What I'm using right now is okay, the horizontal scrolling feature makes clicking the middle mouse button hit or miss and sometimes I get the side buttons accidentally. I like that it toggles between 800 and 1600 dpi, since I can drop it down for sniping or something.
