It's not like Mega Man 4-8 were really bad, we're not talking Mega Man X 4-8 here, they all had some neat gimmicks. Like how Capcom ran a contest in Nintendo Power to let kids design their own Robot Masters for MM6, and instead of choosing one of the hundreds of highly creative entries such as Baby Man or Batman Man, they picked "Knight Man" and fucking "Samurai Man." Really? They had to tap America's most precious resource, it's children, to come up with Samurai Man? They're Japanese, the first thing they think about when they wake up and the last thing they think about before bed is fucking samurais. I'm not even sure a kid really submitted that one, I would like to see proof! I bet they wanted to put in Samurai Man anyway, then someone sent in a drawing of Ninja Turtle Man and Capcom said "fuck it, close enough." Anyway, they were decent games and they even let you collect all the pieces to build your own robot dog, you know, for bouncing on, so it was alllll good. |
