Ah, but the wife DID get in tough with herself. She realized that she wants to be a successful career woman and that her whiny child-fucking douche of a husband will never support her dream. Then she meets the Real Estate King, who shares her dream. And not only didn't she get her own "rose petal" treatment of her (much less) socially unacceptable fantasies, the movie drags her through the mud for daring to break society's taboo against adultery. Even though her pederast husband hates her and openly admits that their marriage is a sham to "keep appearances."

NAMBLA "pedophilia is just as socially acceptable as homosexuality" talking points aside, I'm all for self-discovery. But when he "discovered" that he wanted to fuck children and couldn't trust himself to resist the urge, he should have taken his self-discovery to its natural conclusion and marched his ass down to the clinic for a chemical castration. Now THERE's a scene that deserves the rose petals and candlelight treatment!
