I installed the game, but it put no icons on my desktop. Or start menu. It opened the account page, and I created an account, but then I was stuck looking around trying to figure out how the fuck to even start the game. There was a single .exe file in the game directory called "warpatch.exe," which, having played WoW, I assumed just ran whatever patch utility the game uses to download new content. But after not finding any application .exe file on the dvd disk or fucking ANYWHERE, I just ran the patcher and it started downloading a bunch of shit and THEN I see a "Play" button. What is it with companies and their fucked up installers?
Also, like WoW, there's no FREE free trial at launch. You buy the game, and the first month subscription fee is included. |
