Resident Evil: Extinction by FABIO 09/19/2008, 12:15am PDT
Much like 19 games worse than One Must Fall, it's also hard to imagine how this series could have gotten even worse and sillier since RE: Apocalypse. The movie picks up where Roadwarrior ended and Day of the Dead started: two plotpoints that are introduced but never go anywhere. This movie is about people getting killed because they choose to stay outside shelter to get a few more pistol shots off at a flock of (zombie) crows. My Fussbett Resident Evil breaking point came not at the characters resting in a cemetery, but when they empty out an entire (full) school bus directly into the back of a van then drive off.

Next up on my StarZ on Demand insomnia movie night: 30 Days of Night. It's going to be hard following up RE: Extinction, but within the first 2 minutes we're treated to these lines from a learned screenwriter: when wondering who would steal dozens of cellphones and burn them in a pile, one sheriff theorizes that it could have been "youngsters", to which his partner replies, "No, they would have left a note to their parents."
