I've had Blindness on my Bookshelf for years now, still not planning to read it. by Jerry Whorebach 09/16/2008, 9:09pm PDT
I got it as a gift from someone who doesn't realize that reading novels for pleasure is effeminate (a woman [my mom]). Here's the rest of my Bookshelf: some doctor-prescribed self-help books (Feeling Good! An Illustrated Guide to Feeling GOOD and Dying of Embarassment: How Not To), the three D&D3E core rulebooks (PHB, DMG, MM), the official Simpsons episode guide, a Lord of the Rings box set (also a gift, although I slogged through those), some old CRPG manuals (Fallout, Arcanum, etc.), an issue of Playstation Magazine, and there used to be a Tom Clancy techno-thriller of some kind but I don't see it now. I imagine that's what Captain Kirk's bookshelf looks like, too, only with some Starfleet technical manuals instead of all my gay crap. Oh! And I have a Starfleet technical manual too, but I keep it under my bed, not on my Bookshelf.
