| The final China mission wants us to blow up some fuckin skyscrapers (always awesome). After we bring one of the last ones down, I order a helicopter, it lands, I start taking off and turn around to get away from all the allied motherfuckers shooting at us and smack into another skyscraper. This game isn't so realistic and punishing that it fails us right there, but still, I resented the building being there, so I land on top and tell Kred to get out and throw a cruise missile strike on the roof of the building. I get out because I'm wondering if I can throw a bombing run down at the same time, because I'm not sure if it uses the same cooldown to use your jet pilot combined with the Chinese cruise missiles or artillary or whatever. I realize that it's too late and he's already thrown the beacon on the roof, we pile into the helicopter and I start taking off, and the missile must've landed directly on our helicopter because it blows up, sending us both flying in opposite directions, and we sail down like 200 stories from the roof to the ground as the building collapses next to us and we float through a giant fog of dust and flying debris and rumbling and shit. This game doesn't kill you no matter how long you fall, so we both smack into the ground all ragdoll bent over with our legs going through our ears and then hop to our feet with 1 health left.
Also we did the final mission of the game where you get Solano, so we do the nuclear bunker buster and go in. I remember Jso screwing up the next part so I was worried that we'd fuck this up and have to do it a few times, but I got inside and it plays a little cutscene for me, and for Kered it lets him run around, so it's going through the quick time events where I hit right stick, X, B bloo bloo and I can see in the out of focus background a giant chicken suited man running around as the scene whips around and I'm hanging on to the helicopter cockpit from the outside and Kered is like HOLY SHIT THE HELICOPTER IS SPINNING and from inside the chopper I still see the cutscene with my guy fighting Solano and there's talking and I can still see the big chicken costumed Kered outside watching. When he hosts the game I want to see what that looks like. |
