| If you don't have a gold account, every time you start up the game, it will prevent you from loading until you click through a notice saying you can't play multiplayer because you don't have gold, which I can understand, but then it stops you one more time after that every single fucking time to tell you that you were unable to connect to the EA servers. It doesn't tell you why, it just says that you can't, but there's just the implication that it's because you don't have gold.
We bought a couple of gold prepaid cards to play Castle Crashers online, and we hopped on to get the Mercs 2 achievements for playing a coop game (it also gave us the one for playing with a Pandemic employee OR someone who has that achievement already), and it stopped giving those gay messages about the EA server shit. However, now when I'm playing the game, even just in single player, the billboards are all replaced with fucking ads for The Sarah Conner Chronicles on Fox, and shit like that. If this money was going towards patching the game that would be fine, but you know (and Jso sez) EA is just going to take the advertising money and wrap it around their dicks while they jack off with it. Right now Jso can't zoom in with his sniper rifle probably because of a very easily fixed bug. After a while in playing, sometimes my rep drops from full friendly to empty fucking pure hatred, for absolutely no reason when I am not even doing anything in the game aside from running around an empty space, or picking up crates. A lot of shit like that happens constantly because it's still very buggy. I can even live with the occasional freezes if they just fix some of the normal game mechanic bugs to make it more stable. Like when a fuckin enemy faction blows up a civilian, and the game blames me and deducts money from me for it. Or when people shoot at you from inside a boulder. Or when someone's reporting you and you can't stop them because they're clipped through the world where bullets can no longer reach them. Or fuckin whatever other shit I can't remember. |
