| I really don't think that justifies the rape-victim-like fear of administrative powers you're displaying here. The games on NG are awful because no one has any enthusiasm or vigor in them, one team will always be stacked with regulars who have probably clocked 100+ hours playing with one another, playing against a team like that is not a test of skill, it's a test of endurance. The other team will most likely be headed by you, and filled with people who wash in and out, maybe a few regulars trying to get into red so they can gab like it's a party line for speds.
Anything but highly modulated mechanical play is frowned upon, I think you chided me twice, once for not calling a turret and another time for charging across the bridge. The play-style philosophy on NG is contagious and absolute fucking poison, and if people would just react organically and autonomously rather than waiting for a motherfucking egg timer we would have won more, or at least of lost quicker. Even the constant blare of those idiotic 4chan servers is preferable to this militant loser attitude that pervades NG. The only thing a game on newb gamers proves is that you can mute people fast enough to play on the winning team of retards, or that you can bury your pride deep enough to get curb stomped by a bunch of well organized losers. They sit in their base for at minimum thirty minutes(one could argue this is how long a match should last, not time between attacking) before making an attack, which is usually against a team that has points below ten or twenty because everyone got fucking bored and left. The ones that do stay don't use their mics because the entire thing is fucking depressing. It's depressing to see a fun game like Team Fortress 2 played like Molten Core, and it's depressing to see good players dedicate their time to what is the equivalent of playing against bots. |
