Sci Fi mercifully changed Ursula K. Le Guin's absurd fantasy of a colored guy saving the world by making him a far more believable white guy.
It is interesting to know that if you ever write a book and it becomes popular, you should under no circumstances sell the rights to it unless you don't care what garbage gets cranked out with your name attached. And unless you really need the money, of course. |
