Yeah, it's fantastic. In this ONE case it would have given me a clear answer where a Usenet archive didn't. And that's because whoever the worthless fucks were that made their equally worthless compression system used a name that surpassed the racing game "Driver" as the most inane thing to find support for.

I don't ask "Why?" or "What?" I really don't, not any longer. A computer irritates me in some way every single day in my life and I know it's going to happen and if it bothered me as much as it should, my blood pressure would cause Scott-Summers-operating-a-railgun-style disasters every time I cut myself shaving. I instead ask "How?" How can I get my copy of Sentinel Returns working with my Voodoo2 in 1998? How can I find the release date of Diablo, as I was working at an EB when it came out and swore it was released on January 2nd, 1997 and not November 30th, 1996 like Mobygames says. How can I get NES Dodge Ball on my TV through this shitty file I downloaded from Suprnova? Usenet is full of very stupid and very helpful people. Everyone else more or less shuts the fuck up. I love it. Keyword searching through it usually doesn't fail me. I'll grant you it's a credit to Google.Com that "7z" takes me right where I want to go, but I clicked over there with "7z nintendo" still in my search box from Groups ... ah, well.

So! My short review of the 7z compression system? I'm surprised Vivendi hasn't bought it. It was wholly extraneous and got me humilated in public, something ARJ couldn't even muster. Zero out of five stars.
