Yeah, I would say that the improvements I want to make to the site would be:
- RSS feed for posts, as you describe.
- An RSS feed for new articles/reviews along with the mini-reviews
- I'd like to have a section on the main site that lists the essential Caltrops articles (which would probaly be the HL2 mod articles, the top 100 indie games one, Xenosaga, System Shock 2 and the megaphone one, assuming that BDR would not be in favor of Patch Adams being up there)
- A button for the Youtube link text
- The content management system change, but that just benefits me and not a user.
- I'd like to add support to the search page for text strings in quotes and then a + and - feature for demanding and subtracting words. The Google search hasn't crawled the entire site, and I doubt it ever will, so making our search stronger will let me remove that one.
I think I can put together an RSS page for the posts as you describe, so I can knock off the first thing on the list. Maybe Stew can tweak my query if I get it 95% done and send it to him. I should be able to make a PHP page for it as I query dbs at work in Java every day and it can't be that different.
