I just want to have normal non widescreen resolutions display normally without burning out the monitor or video card or my eyeballs from looking at stretchy blur-vision.
I have the option to use these scaling types for the "front end" parameters: centered, adapter, fixed aspect, or display (none). I figured I might try making 1024x768 a fixed aspect or centered, but it would sure be nice to know what the fuck any of that means.
There is also an option for custom display mode values which I figure should stay at my normal desktop resolution of 1440x900. There is also a "back end" timing standard drop down list which is especially unhelpful.
I also already tried putting in the widescreen parameters into the command line exe for psi ops and it just crashes the game. :( |
