| I was at some kind of house party in the country, and whoever lived there worked for valve and let me play some Left 4 Dead. I was so fucking excited like SHIT YEAH I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL CALTROPS.
Oh also I had a great long ZZ-Top beard, which I groomed by parting in the middle of my chin and combing back over my shoulders. (That doesn't have anything to do with Left 4 Dead, I just thought it was cool.) My dream version of L4D was sort of a let-down. The level I played was a wide, empty street in daytime, and the zombies would sort of shuffle around in groups of three or four, not really doing much. There were still some level design issues to work out, like how the whole thing was just walking down a straight, daylit road and jumping on cars and popping off zombies until you got to the final boss (the Tank) who pretty much fucked us up instantly. Kind of boring really. I hope they put some serious polish before I dream about it again. |
