There are lots of developers I admire, like my mentors. In the west I find Peter Molyneux to be a really interesting character and I always enjoy his speeches. I wish I could be like Peter some day.

Molyneux represents a "safe pick" for Itagaki, as the two are unlikely to ever work together or compete directly with one another. The Western equivalent would be Cliffy B. expressing his admiration for Miyamoto, despite John Carmack being the chief influence on every Epic megagame since Jazz the Jackrabbit.
