Ultimately I consider this to be good news because now less indie games are going to be headed to console-only releases. I'm still bitter over The Dishwasher.
Good article. Marc Whitten is completely incompetent, which I'm sure the article author would like to state, but can't. This whole thing smells like an irrelevant manager trying to justify his position with stupid decision-making.
That being said, while I agree with what Chris Kohler is saying, whatever screenshot is included at the top of the article is not "Asteroids Deluxe." I know it's called as such, but Jesus. Asteroids is a game with a bunch of lines and no color. Asteroids Deluxe includes spinning rocks and the hexagon of death, which is just in there to stop teenagers from spending all day on a single quarter. What Asteroids does not contain is "purple."
The fact that Microsoft is using Metacritic for help is pretty funny as well. And yeah, anyone would be insane to make an XBLA-only release at this point. Score one for the PC, I guess.
