| While you can't use all of your unlocked weapons in a straight new game, you can use the outfit changes you unlock. I believe one of the Ada stories unlocks the gangster outfit (outfit number 2). Why is this important? Because it puts Ashley in an invulnerable suit of armor and turns her into the best tactical weapon you have. Which makes a professional replay an enjoyable diversion instead of the slightly more difficult slog through enemies with more health that it was apparently designed as.
I think it's more fun than playing with the handcannon, anyway, which like the Chicago Typewriter and the PRL laser gun is a novelty you can't really enjoy for long. I guess if you didn't fully upgrade it it would still be somewhat balanced, but the limited inventory makes me prefer other weapons in the long run. |
