I loved the first one. I remember quite a few times I got the other guy on the ground, and I was consistently swinging and hitting him, but it wouldn't kill him for some reason. We referred to it as "workin on the railroad" because of the movements involved.

BB2 isn't as great in my opinion. They did remove the annoying leg shots, but rather than having the stances and two attacks in each, there's just high, med, low attacks. Also they added secondary weapons that could kill, which made certain opponents almost as much an exercise in bullshit as pistol fag was in the first.

Incidentally, though, I have to say that was brilliant. You go through story mode, following bushido and defeating worthy opponents at every turn, and then the boss is a faggy frenchman who just shoots your ass. Classic.
