Is losing your wanted level even HARDER NOW? by Worm :| 05/03/2008, 2:06pm PDT The globe is great for losing one star, but when you've got three or two it just seems like you have to drive in a straight line as fucking fast as possible and hope that no cops spawn on your route. Since the minimap is unintelligible when it zooms out if you're wanted I can't really imagine closely watching and dodging every cruiser. I just end up on the outside of the globe in a park or on the board walk or something and park, which feels far more retarded than just dodging LOS on cop cars which is what I remember having to do in the previous games. It's extra annoying because it seems like any missions they didn't think were long/difficult enough have a token LOSE YOUR WANTED LEVEL segment pinned on to it. Especially since it's always just like doing the mission twice, you kill criminals on your way in and kill cops on your way out. I have The Snow Storm and Holland Nights in mind here, the latter which takes you to the fourth floor of a building and gives you one of those moral choices, where it's about 30x easier to just shoot the guy to death when you first see him on the second floor and not have to deal with four floors of cops(and miss out on some option missions because of that BAWWWW). Similarly you can hop on a table in The Snow Storm and just run through the second floor of the abandoned building. The 'run from cops' stuff seems to get even worse as the missions get longer(Three Leaf Clover), and it's baffling that all the meetings and lunches they presumably had in the process of making this game and no one thought of mid mission checkpoints.
