No but seriously folks let's take the mood down a notch here by Zsenitigole 04/25/2008, 4:14pm PDT I'm in an unhappy bind in which yes I am very offended by what BDR said but I also actually am a giant porky hambeast, pretty much on the level that you would expect from a persistent WoW player and all-around Person With Primarily Indoors Interests. So yeah, fatty cracks kind of hurt. Like all people, especially women, I'd like to be thought of as attractive and healthy. On a philosophical level I'm saddened that BDR is essentially reducing my personhood to just my body. It's generally misogynist and specifically rude. I wish we didn't have to be this way, you know? But probably if I were a beautiful person I would just think it was funny. It would also probably hurt BDR more if he thought that an attractive woman thought as little of him as I do. Being thin and pretty is a useful social tool especially for women. I can brush off what BDR said as just schoolyard taunting, but fundamentally I find BDR incredibly sexual and compatible with me intellectually, and he has basically just thrown down his gauntlet and said "no, never." Not even the knowledge that I could have Jerry Whorebach or Quentinbec any time I wanted will help here. Advice sought!
